Soldiers of the United States
The United States Army of the 1930s was wholly unprepared for a global war. General Marshall was faced with a problem that seemed insurmountable. How would the United States Army raise, equip and train a military force large enough and combat capable enough to deploy in theaters of war across the globe? He knew that it was all going to hinge on leadership and organization. He had to take ordinary citizens and fashion them into the world's most capable military force.
Sergeants Miniatures Game begins with the same raw material available to General Marshall. We start with an ordinary American – someone who learned a trade and had his own individual life experiences before joining up with the military. And just like real people, SMG soldiers have flaws as well - some they had all along, and others they gained as they fought.
